Artist's Comments

Well, this piece has been in the works since 26th of July 2008! So its taken a while, hehe. But I'm proud of it now its finished - though I can see many areas that need improving!

Having started the piece so long ago, I've come back to some parts much later, with better techniques. As such, I see some areas as having a bit of a patchwork quality which I'm not entirely happy with. Still, I'm very proud of this.

Its done in Caran d'Ache pencil crayons, and took so much time, effort, and care - expecially in the shading. The skin was the first, and my favourite part to attend to. The dragon scales were great too but there were so many they lost their shine after a while, so to speak!!

Anyway :)

I leave you with this piece - my queen, Naisa (for those of you who are familiar with Aung, she is his mother.. :))

The torso pose was referenced from `Elandria's stock ( [link] ) - Thankyou very much Elandria!

Enjoy, everyone!

I can't even imagine how long this must have taken you... The dragon is a work of art in itself!! It really is something else.
And the background looks lovely, good decision on that front :)

It was worth every second to get this result, its abbsolutely gorgous. The shading blends so well and looks really smooth, awsome work and great quality =]
