When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

This is my entry to the Kick Your Own Ass Contest! [link]
I'm really happy with how this came out - the old version of this image [ [link] ] was done way back in 2005.. I was so proud of it then but now I stuggle to see why! Maybe in another 4 years I will struggle to see why I'm proud of this now Credit must go to *almudena-stock, because, as you can see from the old version I had a lot of problems with the legs, however THIS piece of stock really helped this time round Ok, well for now, I have to post the final competition entry, so bye for now! Please leave me feedback and crits, and enjoy! Time taken was around 20 hours Comments
I love the picture, but I'd just like to say that Yuna's right eye is green and her left eye is blue...
You've made me want to play FFX-2 again... Never finished it because of the huge amount of content to do. x_x -- Regards, Zerkonia Anatherian Administration [link] Thankyou
Ah - I googled her so I could get the outfit right... but the reference I used had brown eyes and no necklace so.. thats what I went with this time round Haha! Go play FFX again then! -- Gallery | Commissions | Etsy | Art Blog The overall picture looks realistic and you did an amazing job on the shading. I have some construactive critisism for you. There is a little conflict in the picture. Her face seems a little wide for some reason and the shadows of her arm conflict with the shadows on the bracelet, making her arm look unproportionally short in comparison to her body. The black on her chest confuses me. Although you may have wanted to make it look bold, there really is no true black in most pictures, but greys, browns, and blues usually. I can't tell if it's a part of her clothing or a tatto, for it seems to go under the clothes at the bottom but overtop of the string at the top, but doesn't cast a shadow. As bold as black may be, I encourage you to dabble in using dark colors to show darkness instead of black (other than black and white pictures, for you'd be a bit hooped there). You may like what you find. The hair is well done and you seem to have a great grasp at how fabric and the body work together. Well done.
-- "Infidels! You have desecrated this holy ceremony! I condemn you to the realm of the ancient dead!" "Uh, y-y-you mean Miami?" Thankyou very much for the crit, its nice to get a full on one for a change
Thankyou for the tip on not using true black, I'll be sure to try that in future - the black on her chest is part of the character design but I must admit I have no idea what its for -- Gallery | Commissions | Etsy | Art Blog I give full critiques because that's what I want from others. Not saying "Now you scratch my back", but kindof a pass it on kindness thing. I find that if someone gives me constructive critisism, I know that they have actually taken the time to look at every part of the drawing. "LOL" and "Nice" say absolutely nothing, and do not help in the advancement of skill.
The whole true black thing I discovered in a fantasy world instruction book. The artist pointed out that in real life, things are rarely black but dark colours. Things look black to us, but if we were to take a picture of it and look close at the pixels in photoshop or something, we probably wouldn't find much (unless it was taken at night with no flash). I found it interesting, so I thought I'd pass it on. I'm glad I could help! -- "Infidels! You have desecrated this holy ceremony! I condemn you to the realm of the ancient dead!"
